P.E. day changed in 2 weeks

Due to the Holiday Meal being served in the gym and the need for extra time to prepare on Dec. 12th, our P.E. day is being moved to Tuesday, Dec. 11th that week.  Please post a special message perhaps on your children's bathroom mirror to remind them to bring tennis shoes on Tuesday, Dec. 11th.

AR Reading & using a journal at home

Hello Parents,

Here is a copy of what your child works on daily while reading to help guide their focus while writing summaries.

Please encourage your child to use this outline when reading independently.  

Once they finish an AR book, have them bring the journal to school, so that they may take AR tests on the books they read using their notes. 

With your at home support, I think we will see more AR tests being taken.  

Please also look in Tuesday's mail to see another way you can stay in touch with how your child is doing taking AR tests & Math Facts in a Flash at school by setting up email updates that will come directly to you.  If you were in during Thursday conferences, you may already have received the AR letter to parents from me at conferences.
